Power Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training, 200 Hour

Join Our Next Teacher Training

Howard Thurman said, “Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive and go do it, because what the world needs is people who have come alive.”

The 200 hour teacher training program offers an opportunity to learn the fundamentals of teaching yoga while at the same time the tools to deepen a personal practice. Trainees will experience yoga through anatomy, alignment, teaching methodology, philosophy, history, lifestyle, ethics, and practice. We will use yoga as a tool to heal, serve others, soften where we’ve become rigid and strengthen areas we may have forgotten. The program will also include service work and personal transformation to make a difference in trainees yoga practice-on and off the mat.

Katy says teaching teachers is her favorite aspect within her career. Witnessing and helping teachers to develop, grow and chase down a dream is more rewarding than words can say. To increase yoga’s reach, to watch others meet their goals, express themselves and learn to share yoga is her dream come dream true. Katy has co-lead four 200 hour yoga teacher trainings for The River. She has studied under her mentor, assisted and lectured in eight 200 hour teacher trainings prior. Katy has studied yoga for 10 years and has been teaching full-time for 8 years. She recently spent time studying yoga in India; yoga’s birthplace.
