Carolyn Bryan

Carolyn stepped into yoga class in 2012 after years of competitive sports.  She struggled with her relationship with her body due to repeated physical injury and overall negative body image.  Her first yoga classes taught her the difference between pain and discomfort, the power of her breath, and how her own negative self-talk impacted her daily life. She returned to yoga class as much as possible and left each class with a bit more acceptance and a sense of peace- a feeling she never experienced before.   She slowly discovered yoga is more than physical ability or flexibility and began to feel the benefits of her yoga practice on and off the mat.

Carolyn completed her 200 hour yoga teacher training in 2015 at the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health and completed The River Yoga's 300 hour teacher training in 2021. As a lifelong learner, she is incredibly grateful to all her teachers who continue to share their knowledge and inspire her.

Carolyn’s classes emphasize a solid foundation through breath and embodied alignment. Her teaching style is empowering and straightforward. Carolyn’s classes offer a space for students to get to know all of themselves and accept all of themselves while moving and breathing in community.

Off her mat, you can find Carolyn eating ice cream at the Jersey Shore, skiing (eating warm waffles) at Winter Park, paddleboarding with her dog Scout, at a CrossFit gym in Denver, or reading fiction at Cheesman Park.
