Meditation

Join Joseph Wagner for an hour of meditation following our 5:30pm yoga class. Counter the “hustle and bustle” of the holiday seasons, with mindful stillness, calming pranayama techniques, and attention to presence.

We will learn simple, profound yogic exercises from the Tibetan tradition, and combine them with seated meditation to bring forth the sublime, natural awareness which lies at the core of our being.

No experience required. Students can expect some discussion and learning during the hour in addition to seated meditation. We suggest you consider coming to the 5:30pm yoga class to prepare your body and mind for meditation.

*Suggested donation of $10

Sometimes all you need is a 15 minute reset. We invite you to stay after class (or come early if there is a class following this meditation session) to enjoy a “micro mediation”. Offered after our noon classes daily, after our 9am classes Monday-Friday, and after our 5:30pm classes on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
A micro meditation is 15 minutes of mindful stillness, quite reflect or perhaps an extended savasana. The asana practice is meant to prepare our body mind and spirit for mediation. Commit to completing your practice with a few extra minutes of meditation and see what you discover along the way.
No prior mediation experience is necessary. An instructor will set a timer and ensure the yoga room is conducive to quite mediation. All you have to be… is present. No additional cost to attend.
