AIMEE RICHARDS

Aimee Richards (she/her) discovered her yoga practice in 2012 while living in Dubuque, Iowa.  While navigating major life changes: moving abroad and starting her career in education, yoga was there to prepare and guide her physically, mentally, and emotionally.  She discovered while living in Medellín, Colombia the true beauty of yoga is that it can be practiced anywhere, across language divides.

Aimee participated in her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training (RYT 200) & Social-emotional Learning Facilitator (SEL*F) in fall of 2022 through Breathe for Change.  She now teaches a variety of forms Hot River Flow, Warm River Flow and Yin.  Her professional teaching journey continues as she completed her 20 hour Yin Yoga training through Breanna Ferguson and will be continuing to train under Steph Winsor for Deep Stretch & Meditation.

Aimee’s approach to yoga focuses on the balance between yin and yang energy.  Her classes focus on intentional warm-ups, building to a powerful flow and purposeful time to restore.  You can expect an opportunity to listen to your body and be encouraged to follow your individual journey.

Outside of the studio you can find Aimee being active in the CrossFit gym, finding new wellness restorative practices and reading at every opportunity.  As an Iowa native, she loves to travel the West, the mountains and ride her bicycle to new places and heights!
