DAN MOODY
Dan (he/him) found yoga in 2019, looking for a new movement modality and challenge after a lifetime of football and weightlifting. In the spring of 2021, Dan began to practice with The River community. It was during this time Dan's practice began to evolve, with yoga, asana, and beyond, becoming a daily cornerstone for mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
Dan completed the 200-hour training program through The River in November 2022. Dan also teaches at The Phoenix in Denver, a community with wellness programming for those in substance recovery. Dan likes to build heat in classes through intentional and detailed attention to core postures complemented by strength-building holds and breath-to-movement flows. Dan hopes to encourage students to move through each posture and transition with measured purpose.
Dan can most likely be found getting his "wiggles" out on the slopes, in the backcountry, lifting, running, playing pickleball, paddle boarding, or anything else on the move and outside. Dan also loves to cook, trying new recipes as frequently as possible. Dan is an Ohio native and is proud of his Midwestern stock, but is also thrilled to now call Colorado home.
