Kiayan Reuter
Kiayan Reuter (she/her) discovered yoga in 2007 while living in Los Angeles, California. Since life is all about being flexible, both physically and mentally, she knew her challenge would be bringing that lesson not only to herself but others. She is proudly a lifelong learner and strongly believes that personal growth should always be on the agenda. Growing up as a track and field and cross country runner, Kiayan knew that training your brain is just as important as training your body. The practice of yoga is just as much about strengthening your body, as it is about learning how to be comfortable in your own mind. Handstands and backbends are impressive to watch but witnessing the calm positive energy a person exudes when sitting in sukhasana is magical.
Kiayan is a 500 E-RYT from Yoga Works Los Angeles. She now teaches two different class formats at the River: Hot River Flow and Warm River Flow.
Kiayan’s approach to yoga remains ever-focused on the balance between strength, flexibility, and mindfulness. Her classes focus on steadiness and comfort in the yoga postures incorporating breath and mantra.
Outside of the yoga studio, you can find Kiayan teaching elementary school. She loves to cook, travel, read, and play Pokemon Go with her son in her spare time.
