Prezley Shry
Prezley found yoga in high school, where she was lucky enough to have a Yoga Journaling class offered as an elective. After she took Yoga Journaling once, she couldn’t get enough and took the same class every single year until she graduated. Having grown up dancing classical ballet in a strict, competitive atmosphere, she found yoga to be a refreshing new way to move with no pressure or expectation attached. After high school, she practiced on and off through college programs and new jobs, but really got serious about her practice again when she moved to Denver in 2015. Shortly after that, she enrolled in Yoga Teacher Training and never looked back.
Prezley is a 500 Hour Certified Yoga Teacher. She received her 200 Hour Certificate from Outlaw Yoga Littleton in 2018, then went on to receive her 300 Hour Advanced Certificate from The River Yoga in 2019. Classes Prezley currently teaches at The River include River Flow and Hot River Flow. She is also certified to teach Restorative Yoga, Yoga Nidra, and weighted yoga classes like Sculpt.
Prezley approaches yoga as an opportunity for fun and experimentation. She doesn’t take herself too seriously and she invites the yogis in her class to join her in that mindset. That said, she creates flows that are meant to challenge and push you to a level you may not already know you can achieve. You can expect dynamic sequences and physically challenging postures, mixed with down-to-earth humor, and the space and grace needed “mess up” and to laugh at yourself a little as you navigate new, sometimes awkward feeling territory in your yoga practice.
Outside of the studio, Prezley can be found pampering others in her practice as an Aesthetician. In her true off-time, you can find Prezley at a cidery or brewery, at one of the many amazing restaurants the Denver area has to offer, at the dog park with her puppies, enjoying a nice glass of wine on her patio at home, or traveling to the mountains for a quick weekend getaway (as long as there are hot springs involved
